Julia Dyer MCSP BSc(Hons) Consultant Children’s Physiotherapist
Julia is a highly specialised physiotherapist and Advanced Sensory Integration Practitioner who has specialised in providing sensory integration therapy assessment and intervention to both children and adults with sensory processing disorder.
Julia is a highly experienced tutor with over 20 years of experience teaching including being a senior lecturer and module coordinator for a Sensory Integration Network (UK and Ireland) Masters Module. She is a recognised teacher with Ulster University.
Julia graduated from Addenbrooke’s School of Physiotherapy, Cambridge in 1986 and then worked in Peterborough General Hospital and Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge gaining general experience. Julia specialised in paediatrics in 1991 and has worked in Cambridge, Chorley and Blackburn within the NHS until 2006.
Julia has undertaken specialist post-graduate training in paediatric physiotherapy and sensory integration. She is an Advanced Sensory Integration Practitioner, this qualification was obtained in 2003 by completing all four modules in Sensory Integration offered by the Sensory Integration Network (UK and Ireland) in conjunction with The University of Liverpool. These modules are now accredited through Ulster University. Julia is certified to administer the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT).
She is a Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP), registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and has an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate.
