About
Hello and welcome.  My name is Julia, and I have specialised in providing sensory integration training and consultancy. I have a Masters level qualification in sensory integration and for many years lectured on the Masters course in sensory integration. But first and foremost I am a clinical practitioner with over 30 years’ experience in sensory integration therapy.  I deliver training courses in sensory processing, which are grounded in this real-life clinical practice, to enable you to be much more effective and confident in working with people with sensory processing differences.  I am passionate about empowering you in your role.

I am a highly specialised physiotherapist and developed my interest in sensory processing differences when working in the early 1990s at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge in an innovative service for children with coordination difficulties.  In 2005 I was awarded the status of advanced sensory integration practitioner by completing all four Masters modules in sensory integration offered through Sensory Integration Education.

I have worked with both the University of Liverpool and the University of Ulster as a recognised lecturer in sensory integration.  I was the coordinator and senior lecturer for the Sensory Integration Education Masters module in sensory integration, until life became too busy with grandchildren!

I am a Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP), registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and have an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate.

Have a look around my website to find out all about what I do and the courses I offer. I am more than happy to discuss my qualifications and expertise with you and to provide evidence of my qualifications.   To find out more you can sign up for my newsletter or contact me through the contact page.

I look forward to being in touch with you soon.
